CUSTOMER GUIDANCE (from 27th January 2022)
As Government guidance changes we still need to ensure a safe shopping experience for our customers and staff. Covid-19 is still here and as a business, it is important for us to continue mitigating the risks.
This is what we'll be doing:
- Staff will continue to wear face masks
- Plastic guards will remain at the till and at the cutting table in the fabric department
- Hand sanitiser will remain available for staff and customer use
- We will be continuing to clean more often, in particular surfaces that are regularly touched
How You Can Help
- We ask that you help keep our team and other customers safe by respecting personal space when you are in our shop
- We will also be encouraging our customers to continue wearing masks when possible
- Sanitiser will remain available for you to use

We understand that many of our customers remain vulnerable, and that what feels safe for one person may not feel for safe for another. If you have any concerns about visiting our shop, or would like to make an appointment for a machine demonstration, please get in touch.
To ease the demand on telephone calls, we ask that you send any enquiries via email where possible. We are a small team but we will get back to you as soon as we can. Thank you for your understanding and patience.
We are shipping daily* (excluding Sundays and Bank Holidays).
Not everything is listed on our website, so if there’s something you’re looking for but can’t find, please do send us an email!
We would like to thank everyone who has placed orders online over the past two years. We know these contine to be challenging times for various reasons, and we genuinely appreciate every purchase being made.
*Please note some machines which are despatched from the manufacturer following an order are subject to delays owing to various global circumstances beyond our control. We are happy to pass on what information we have; please contact us if you have any questions about a specific machine
Please note that we are not able to take any bookings for machines in advance. The machine needs to be bought to the shop during opening hours and will be booked in on arrival. The expected turnaround is 10 days*, and you will receive a telephone call when the machine is ready to be collected.

CLASSES REMAIN SUSPENDED
Covid-19 restrictions are being lifted, but that does not mean that the risks from Covid-19 have disappeared. Government guidance states that businesses must continue to assess and mitigate the risks to their staff and customers.
Classes involve being in an enclosed space, with people you don’t normally meet, for an extended period of time. Because all three of these factors are included on the list of circumstances in which the risks of catching and transmitting Covid-19 are increased, we have decided to keep classes suspended until further notice.
Please know that we do not take this decision lightly. Classes are the heart of what we do. However, our priority remains the safety of our staff, customers and sewing community. We have therefore decided to take this more cautious approach and to continue doing what we can to help reduce the spread of the virus.
