Bernina 735

The Bernina 735 (which now comes with the walking foot #50 included as standard), offers innovative sewing, quilting and embroidering features plus a large easy-to-use colour touch screen. With its 5.5mm stitch width & fine feed mechanism, the 735 is ideal for dressmakers, quilters, embroiderers and all sewers for whom pinpoint sewing accuracy is the most important goal.   It has an extended freearm with 10” (254mm) of working space to the right of the needle, providing lots of room for large projects. There’s also a slide-on freearm extension table that adds room and support around the needle.  The Bernina Hook system keeps stitches consistent and precise, and incorporates a jumbo bobbin that holds up to 70% more thread than standard bobbins (meaning fewer stops and starts with your sewing.) And since it is conveniently changed from the front, there’s no need to remove your project.

The Bernina 735 has a total of 1255 stitch patterns, including 32 utility stitches, 29 quilting stitches, 350 decorative stitches, 35 cross stitch programmes, 6 sewing and 6 embroidery alphabets, 250 built in embroidery designs and 15 buttonholes. With the 735 you decide what the stitch length and width should be. You can sew and embroider at up to 1000 stitches per minute, and you choose the needle position. You can alter stitch length and width or alter the needle position, and the B735 will remember those alterations. Stitches can be combined or edited, and saved in memory. The new history function allows use of previously saved patterns, and stitch settings can be changed while sewing. You can import and export stitches and combinations via the USB connection. This control is right at your fingertips with the large, intuitive touch screen and multi-function knobs on the front of the machine.

Helpful features of the B735 include semi-automatic needle threading, automatic thread cutting at the end of a seam or a colour change in embroidery (plus manual thread cutters), and automatic lowering of the presser foot at the beginning of a seam. 30 LED lights illuminate your work meaning you can work on projects at your convenience, and the Free Hand System (with knee lifter included as standard) add to the user friendly features of this machine.

Bernina’s Adaptive Thread Tension system achieves the finest stitching results. It adjusts the tension electronically to the selected stitch width, length, speed, and needle position for each stitch. The Pinpoint Placement and Lock functions allow you to place and lock your embroidery designs, giving a professional finish. Further control and editing are possible with the Group/ungroup and Rearrange functions

The Sewing and Embroidery Consultants and built in tutorials offer on-screen support, helping you to choose the most appropriate needle, foot, thread and stabiliser according to your fabric, to achieve the best results

The B 735 can be upgraded as your experience and ambitions grow. You can upgrade with Bernina’s optional Bernina 7&8 series Embroidery Module L (SDT – Smart Drive Technology) to elevate your embroidery experience with enhanced stitch quality, smoother and quieter movement and up to 55% higher embroidery speed. Adaptive Thread Tension
The Bernina Adaptive Thread Tension system ensures the ideal thread tension as you sew, helping you to achieve perfect stitch quality on both sides of the fabric. After you set the thread tension for the thread and fabric, your machine continuously checks it as you sew, adjusting it unobtrusively and automatically whenever necessary, resulting in the finest sewing and embroidery quality, with no need to even press a button.

Bernina Free Hand System (FHS)
With FHS you can raise or lower the presser foot while simultaneously lowering the feed dog without having to take your hands off the fabric, ideal for quilting
