Straight Stitch Hemmer Foot #62 saves work and time, and gives a neat, strong narrow 2mm hem in a single operation. When working with this foot the fabric is fed into a scroll, which turns the edge under twice. This prevents the fabric from fraying later. The guide holds together the turned hem until it reaches the needle.

The fabric edge is then sewn with a straight stitch into a narrow, sturdy hem which advances easily under the foot.

For optimal results use in combination with a straight-stitch plate (separate purchase required, contact the shop for details)

Foot #62 is suitable for fine fabrics and gives a hem width of 2mm. Also available is Straight Stitch Hemmer Foot #64, suitable for fine fabrics (hem width 4mm)
