Zigzag Hemmer Foot #61 saves work and time, and gives a neat, strong decorated hem in a single operation. When working with this foot the fabric is fed into a scroll, which turns the edge under twice. This prevents the fabric from fraying later. The guide holds together the turned hem until it reaches the needle.

The fabric edge is then sewn with a zigzag or decorative stitch into a narrow, sturdy hem which advances easily under the foot.

Foot #61 is suitable for fine fabrics and gives a hem width of 2mm. Zigzag Hemmer Foot #63 is also suitable for fine fabrics (hem width 3mm), and Foot #66 is suitable for medium-weight fabrics (hem width 6mm)
